Hello Travel Enthusiasts!

One of the biggest myths about points and miles is that you need to spend more money to earn meaningful rewards. You don’t. Most people already spend enough — they’re just earning points the wrong way. Today, I’ll show you how to earn 2–5x more points on the same spending you’re already doing.

The Secret: The Right Card for the Right Purchase

Credit cards reward how you spend, not just how much. That’s where bonus categories matter.

Common examples:

  • Dining: 3x–4x

  • Groceries: 2x–4x

  • Travel: 3x–5x

  • Gas, transit, streaming, phone bills — often bonus categories too

If you use one card for everything, you’re almost certainly leaving points on the table.

Quick Win: The “One-Card Switch”

Here’s an easy place to start:

Pick ONE category you spend on the most (usually groceries or dining)
→ Use a card that earns bonus points in that category
→ Instantly earn 2–3x more points with zero extra effort

That single switch alone can add thousands of extra points per year.

Common Expenses People Forget That Earn Bonus Points

Check your statements — many of these qualify for bonus rewards:

  • Streaming subscriptions

  • Cell phone bills

  • Rideshare & transit

  • Travel booked directly with airlines/hotels

  • Online grocery delivery

Most people earn 1x on these when they could be earning 2x–5x.

⚠️ Important Reminder

Earning points faster only makes sense if:

  • You pay your balance in full

  • You don’t overspend “for points”

Interest wipes out rewards faster than any bad redemption.

Simple Strategy to Follow

You don’t need a wallet full of cards yet.

Start with:

  • 1 main card for everyday spend

  • 1 bonus card for your biggest category

No spreadsheets. No stress. No overthinking.
