Hello Travel Enthusiasts!
I’m excited to welcome you to the very first issue of this newsletter. If you’re here, it means you want to squeeze every dollar of value out of your spending and turn it into unforgettable trips.
I have been meaning to do this for a very long time but life keeps slowing me down! I finally said, let’s just start writing and see where it goes so here I am. People ask me about points and miles all the time so now it’s my time to put it down on the paper (well, digital paper) and have this information available for everyone! Points and miles can feel overwhelming — so many cards, programs, rules, and “fine print.” But it doesn’t have to be.
Each week, I’ll break down travel rewards in plain English and show you how to:
Earn more points without spending more.
Use them smartly (not waste them on bad redemptions).
Travel like a pro — with upgrades, free nights, and cheaper flights.

Quick Win: The #1 Rule of Points & Miles
Never redeem your points for gift cards, merchandise, or random “deals” that pop up in your portal.
Why? Because those redemptions usually give you less than 1 cent per point. Instead, flights and hotel stays often give you 2–5 cents per point in value.
👉 Example:
$500 airline ticket = 25,000 points (value: 2 cents per point).
$500 in gift cards = 50,000 points (value: 1 cent per point).
Same $500, but one option costs you half the points.

Let’s Grow Together
If you found this helpful, forward it to a friend who loves to travel (or wants to start traveling smarter).
The more we grow, the more tips, tools, and deals I can share with you.
See you in the next issue!
